The Dr. David M. Milch Foundation (DMF) is committed to supporting youth mentoring programs and arts-based initiatives that foster positive social change. Guided by the principles of venture philanthropy, DMF works in close partnership with grantees to nurture their growth and development and to build a better future for their constituents and communities.
Brief Bio
Dr. David M. Milch is a distinguished entrepreneur in the life sciences and technology sectors, having graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1981 following undergraduate studies at Amherst College and Stanford University.
Current operating focus centers on two main companies: AllMed Solutions (TruLeaf Medical), specializing in minimally invasive structural heart devices, and Alpha Tau Medical's breakthrough cancer modality based on focal alpha particle delivery.
In 2010, David established the Dr. David M. Milch Foundation focused on two primary areas:
Arts for Social Impact
Ars Veritas
Using film, theater, and other artistry to encourage emotional connection between disparate communities that have experienced trauma, conflict, and discrimination.
Mentoring
Youth Mentoring
Dedicated to fostering civic responsibility and leadership development among young people.
A longstanding supporter of efforts to fight antisemitism and combat intolerance of all kinds, the Foundation recently opened its "Lives Eliminated, Dreams Illuminated" (LEDI) exhibition and education center in Jersey City, NJ. Visit the LEDI Center.
Dr. Milch serves on the Board of a number of companies and organizations.
